Here are 3 quick self-directed art & craft activities for children.
Best of all, the materials are low-cost and simple to obtain. In fact, the majority of them can be found at your local stationery store.
DOODLE ART
This activity requires only paper and drawing materials (markers, pencil crayons, and crayons). Children simply draw lines on paper with a marker and then colour in the blank spaces. They can also take it a step further and search their drawings for hidden monsters and critters. Doodling is fun because you never know what you'll come up with and it is always fun to explore your lesser-known talents.
PUPPETS MADE BY HAND
It never ceases to amaze us how much children (even older ones) enjoy creating puppets, putting on puppet shows, and conversing with puppets. It's simple to make hand puppets like these. All you'll need is some felt and yarn, as well as scissors, googly eyes, and glue. There are a lot of kits out there that make making puppets super easy, or you can gather the supplies yourself like odd socks, shirt buttons, etc.
ROCK MONSTERS
You'll need rocks, googly eyes, paint, and glue to make rock monsters. Stick to markers instead of paint if the thought of painting makes you nervous. You can also try yarn and other crafty materials to glue on rocks.
Don't forget to try these activities and submit your work on our platform!
